“Allow me to present a completely incomplete and totally off-the-cuff definition of ‘art’. Art serves as a reminder. When we participate in art, when we make it or see it, or smell it, or hear it, or sit on it, we are being reminded of something. We are being reminded that something different is possible. When we see a sea bird sculpted from feminine hygiene products, we are reminded that things are not what they seem and that beauty can be found in the most unexpected crevices. When we find ourselves dressing in pork fat or singing to strangers in the name of art, we are reminded that when we stretch beyond our comfortable routines into the unknown, spectacular adventure is born. When we watch a decorated Christmas tree hover weightless over a field, we are reminded that our perceptions of the possible are only limited by the scope of our imaginations (and physics). You all made some amazing art and you all reminded me that there’s a world of possibility awaiting us when we are ready.” - Misha Collins

The Collins + mustaches (◕‿◕)

(via misha-collins)

I had a moment when I first got on supernatural when I was like, “Oh my god, people are paying attention to me, I have fans, maybe I should cultivate an image and try to seem really cool.” I had this moment of being commercially self conscious and it took maybe a month for me to realize no, this is not who I fucking am, and here’s a picture of me in drag. Which is, by the way, so much more liberating and relaxing. There’s not a more sure fire way to give a stifled, boring, empty, vapid, meaningless interview than trying to say the right thing.

Jensen: I’ve gotta have more cowbell! [x]

jensen/misha guitar lessons au – misha is a junior in college working his way to a degree in social theory. with the long, hard hours he’s been putting in for work and school, he’s kind of forgotten how to relax and enjoy himself. he’s forgotten what it feels like to experience true, carefree happiness. after getting smashed at genevieve’s anual new year’s eve party, he stumbles his way back to his dorm and decides that if there’s ever a time for change - it’s now, so he jots down a list of new year’s resolutions on subway napkin and promises himself he’ll start first thing in the morning.
it’s not until two weeks later, when misha’s crossing the campus green and sees an ad for local guitar lessons, that he talks himself into finally doing it. taking a chance, doing something for himself. finding a new hobby. falling in love.
